Community members and invited and encouraged to join us in “Light the Path” activities this Saturday as we honor our graduates.

Members of the Class of 2020 will receive their diplomas this Saturday, May 23, during drive-through ceremonies at each high school that have been reviewed and approved by the county Board of Health. Thanks to our district’s ongoing partnership with OhioHealth, they are helping to underwrite the cost of the professional photographs that will be taken during each ceremony. Their support, plus the use of other alternative revenue, will allow every graduate to receive a photograph of them receiving their diploma. This photo is free to families and is being provided at no additional cost to district taxpayers.

Community members are asked to unite in a display of support for the Class of 2020 on this day. “Light the Path for the Class of 2020” is an event that anyone can safely participate in from their home, place of business, or just about anywhere. Show your support by:

  • Tying a white ribbon around a tree or support post on the porch of your home and leaving it displayed through Sunday, May 24.
  • At 8:20 p.m. (20:20 military time) on Saturday, display an electric candle in your home’s window(s) and/or stand in your front yard to hold a lighted candle from 8:20 p.m. until 8:40 p.m. The timing of this activity coincides with the district’s lighting of the stadiums at each high school in recognition of this year’s graduates.
