One-hundred-thirty-six students and their families gathered at Westerville North High School on Saturday morning, March 16, for the 13th annual Westerville City Schools LEGO Competition, hosted by the Westerville North High School Music Boosters.  Each child was given one hour to create something made from LEGOs.  Volunteers judged them and awards were handed out in categories (broken down by grade levels) that included creativity and realism.  Winners won boxed sets of LEGOs.

Emerson Elementary School fifth grade student Brayden Burgess won the Best of Show Grand Champion prize for his big ship design.  New this year was the Jareth Greene Award, sponsored by the Walnut Springs PTSA and named in memory of a former competitor.

The event benefitted the Westerville North High School Marching Band.
