Pointview teachers dressed in costumes to participate in a reading “stampede.”

Students and staff at Pointview Elementary are Wild About Reading, as evidenced by a multitude of activities that have taken place at the school in recent days.  The building’s Right to Read Committee has coordinated a number of events to promote reading, including spirit week; morning quote announcements; a reading stampede, when teachers dressed as characters from their favorite book, which they read aloud; and ROAR, when the entire school “Reached Out And Read” for 20 minutes.  The event will conclude on Monday with a visit from Columbus Zoo representatives.
