Guidance Counselor Kevin Kissling rouses Pointview students to try their very best on upcoming state tests.

Get a good night’s sleep.  Leave your electronic devices at home.  Be quiet, even after you’re done taking the test so others can finish as well.  Be patient, stay calm.  This was just some of the advice given to third, fourth and fifth grade students at Pointview Elementary School as they prepared to take state-mandated PARCC tests in coming days, covering Math, Language Arts, Social Studies and Science.  Educators at the school decided to hold the pep rally on February 18 to make sure their pupils felt supported and encouraged.  At the end of the event, after listening to their teachers, watching a brief motivational film, and throwing a few beach balls around the gymnasium, each child got to sign a large banner that said, in part, “We pledge to do our best on the test!”
