Westerville City Schools invites parents to attend Kindergarten 101 - A Basic Introduction to Kindergarten in Westerville. This will take place from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at both Fouse and Hawthorne Elementary Schools. The same presentation will be made concurrently at both sites. Parents may choose the location that is most convenient for them. Fouse is located at 5800 South Old 3C Highway; Hawthorne is at 5001 Far View Road.
This 60-minute program is designed for parents of incoming kindergarten students. Participants can expect to receive information from the Enrollment and Family Resource Center regarding Westerville’s registration process. District administrators will give an overview of kindergarten “gentle start”/assessments and a kindergarten teacher will present information about kindergarten curriculum and expectations. A question/answer session will follow the presentation. Parents will also have the opportunity to pick-up informational materials and schedule an appointment for enrollment.
Free childcare for children two years old and older will be provided on site by the Westerville Parent Council. Please reserve a childcare spot by contacting Krista Eisenman at 797-5934.
