Westerville Rotarians and members of Rotaract & Interact will be collecting non-perishable food on Saturday, December 13.  Donations will go to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM), a non-profit organization that helps Westerville School District families in need throughout the year.   This year, Kroger grocery bags will be delivered to many area homes with instructions for pick-up.  Or, individuals wishing to donate can drop off their items from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on December 13 at the Kroger stores on Schrock Road or Maxtown Road in Westerville.  Look for collection trucks in the parking lots.

A number of sports teams in the Westerville City School District have volunteered to help with neighborhood pickups on collection day.  In addition, many schools have already conducted their own food drives.  “Contributions from Westerville School students are always very generous,” said Deb Wallace, WARM Programs and Projects Manager.  “They truly understand the need to help their neighbor.”

Most needed items are canned fruits, canned meats, vacuum-packed meats, canned spaghetti sauce and other tomato products, and hot and cold cereal.
