Pointview Elementary School’s annual Trunk or Treat party was a smashing success this year, made even more special thanks to volunteers from Kohl’s.  As part of the company’s Associates in Action program, Kohl’s employees joined PTA and parent/teacher volunteers in manning game stations, operating a maze and helping with food and festivities.  By doing so, the school will receive a $500 Kohl’s grant.  Since 2001, nationwide program efforts have resulted in more than 143,000 volunteer events; $79 million in grants; 834,000 associate volunteer participants; and 2.7 million volunteer hours logged.  In addition to enjoying indoor activities, participants got to “trunk or treat” in the parking lot, where parents decked out their vehicles and handed out candy.
