WCSD, three schools named top fundraisers in regional Pennies for Patients campaign

Westerville City School District led the region in raising the most money in The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Central Ohio Chapter’s Pennies for Patients campaign while three schools -- Wilder Elementary, Genoa Middle School and Mark Twain Elementary -- were among the top 10 Central Ohio schools that raised the most money for the campaign during the 2019-20 school year.

Funding raising totals include: 

  • $4,639 by Wilder Elementary

  • $4,241 by Genoa Middle School

  • $4,134 by Mark Twain Elementary

  • $4,000 by McVay Elementary

  • $3,005 by Huber Ridge Elementary

  • $1,391 by Westerville Central High School

  • $918 by Annehurst Elementary

  • $700 by Robert Frost Elementary

  • $174 by Heritage Middle School

  • $44 by Blendon Middle School

  • $135 by Westerville North High School 

The fundraising total for the district was $23,483.

Pennies For Patients raises money in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). More than 180 schools across Central Ohio raised more than $205,000 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Central Ohio Chapter.
