Family members gathered around Vaughn Bell and Jennifer Aultman as together they took their Oath of Office during the January 13, 2020, organizational meeting of the Westerville City Schools Board of Education.

Last November, Bell won reelection to the seat to which he was appointed in 2018 when Richard Bird resigned due to a move out of state, and Aultman won voter approval to fill the open seat left by Gerrie Cotter, who completed her term and did not run for reelection. Both expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to serve on the Board and thanked those who supported them in their election efforts.

Following the swearing in ceremony, business turned to electing Board leadership for 2020. Rick Vilardo will serve as Board President and Vaughn Bell will serve as Board Vice President this year.
