Westerville Parent Council hosted the 2018-2019 PTA Reflections awards reception on Thursday evening, January 10, recognizing student achievement in literature, music, dance, film/video production, photography and visual arts. The theme was “Heroes Around Me.”
This year, 146 students from 13 Westerville schools participated, with 90 entries advancing to the district competition. In accordance with Ohio State PTA eligibility guidelines, Westerville Parent Council will advance 55 entries to the state level competition. 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Reflections program.
?Program chair Jill French and co-chair Valerie Cumming organized the event for Westerville Parent Council, which serves as the sponsor for Reflections at the district level. The Westerville Public Library donated the venue for the celebration and Cheryl’s Cookies provided delicious refreshments.
