Mark your calendar for Sunday, April 23, because that is when Westerville Partners for Education (WPE) and Nationwide Children’s Hospital will present Starry Night, a free festival geared towards students in preschool through 8th grade and their families, highlighting the connection between arts and science.  This year’s event is taking on a “Maker” theme – Yesterday’s Tools – Tomorrow’s Technology – focusing on student projects built from the school district’s expanding Maker Space program.

The event will take place from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Westerville North High School, located at 950 County Line Road.  See how crafts transformed from art to engineering and science, how things work, and learn to work with tools.

WPE cultivates relationships with organizations, businesses and individuals to help enrich and enhance learning in the Westerville City Schools.  The group links volunteers, organizations and corporations with schools to promote innovative learning experiences, pursue grant and corporate funding on behalf of academic programs, and build networks of support for education across the community.
