Beginning on April 20, parents of children who will be attending kindergarten this fall can register their youngsters for Westerville Safety City.  The program will be held Monday through Friday, June 1-12, at Robert Frost Elementary School, which is located at 270 North Spring Road.  Two sessions will take place each day – one in the morning from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and one in the afternoon from 12:30-2:30 p.m.

Educational topics will include fire safety, bicycle safety, stranger awareness, water safety, and other personal safety issues.  Teachers and their teen helpers will educate 360 students during this two-week program.  Westerville Fire Division educators and Westerville DARE Officers will also be present to help educate and facilitate.

New this year, registration will take place online only at www.westervillesafetycity.com.  Fees for 2015 Safety City will be $70 per child for persons living within the Westerville School District or city limits.  Non-resident fees for the program are $80.  Visa, MasterCard, and Discover will be accepted, but not checks.

To complete the registration process, you will need a credit card, parent contact information, emergency contacts, your child’s medical history and preferred physician, child’s shirt size, and person(s) you will authorize to pick-up your child during Safety City.
