Board, Superintendent Recognize Parent Volunteer Groups

At its meeting on Monday evening, September 22, the Westerville City Schools Board of Education and Superintendent recognized all 35 parent support organizations, including each booster group, each Parent Teacher Association, each Parent Teacher Organization, each Parent Teacher Student Association, the Westerville African American Parent Association, Westerville Partners for Education and the Westerville Parent Council for selflessly volunteering their time and talents for the betterment of students and staff in the Westerville City School District.  Last year alone, volunteers logged more than 99,000 hours of service.  The groups were lauded for enhancing the educational experience; for setting an inspirational example of giving; and for “making a difference.”
