The Great Educator Mentor (GEM) Awards are presented annually to adult volunteers and district staff who go above and beyond for students in Westerville Schools. Sponsored by Roush Honda and Westerville Parent Council (WPC), GEM Awards honor recipients from each school building in the Westerville District, as well as those who volunteer or work district-wide; plus a local business.

Award winners are selected for each school in the district by building committee. Additionally, awards are given for those who serve in an extraordinary way in more than one building or across the entire district. This year’s GEM award recipients will be recognized during a special session of the Westerville Board of Education on Monday, April 13, in the Westerville North High School auditorium, located at 950 County Line Road. A private reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the public Awards Ceremony at 7 p.m. Members of the community are encouraged to attend the 7 p.m. ceremony and help celebrate those who do so much for so many.
