CVS Pharmacy and Westerville Parent Council have joined forces to present a seminar called One Choice to educate families, staff and students (grades 6-12) about prescription drug abuse.  The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening, October 3, in the Westerville North High School Media Center.  North is located at 950 County Line Road.

Chase Marburger, a Westerville Central High School graduate and CVS pharmacist, will present and answer questions from those who attend.  The program is part of CVS’ Pharmacists Teach, designed to educate teens and parents about prescription drug abuse, offered at no cost.  Did you know that:

  • 1,100 adolescents, on average, start to misuse prescription pain relievers each day
  • 62 people die in the U.S. each day, from overdose of prescription opioids
  • 90 percent of people with a substance abuse problem began using an addictive substance before age 18

Please join Westerville Parent Council and CVS Pharmacy for this important parent engagement event.
