Westerville Public Library representatives visited all 15 elementary buildings in the Westerville City School District this month to encourage students to visit the library and take part in their summer reading program, titled Read and Blast Off.  For this program, children set their own reading goals, log their progress and can earn new books.  The librarians gave each pupil a book to kick off the summer.

The summer reading program begins June 1.  A wide range of events can be found at the library including DIY Space Squishies, Drawing Pokémon with professional artists, and coding robots at the Innovation Academy: Tech Fair.  Students were excited about their new books and the many possibilities happening at the library this summer.
