Westerville City Schools has earned an Achievement Award for its effort in preventing accidents and injuries in the workplace.  Achievement Awards are granted to companies that decrease their incident rate by at least 25 percent from the previous year.

The District received its recognition on April 17 at the 2018-2019 Capital Area Safety Council Awards Ceremony, presented by Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Division of Safety & Hygiene and co-sponsored by Safex.

“As one of the region’s largest employers, it’s nice to receive this particular award because only those with the highest safety records are recognized,” said Westerville’s Treasurer/CFO Nicole Marshall.  “Decreases in on-the-job accidents help keep workers’ compensation claims and medical costs down, so we truly appreciate everyone’s collective efforts to remain safe on the job.”
