Former Annehurst first graders returned to the school for a mini-reunion with teachers and then-Principal Howard Baum. Inside, when they visited Erica Layne’s first grade classroom, they said they had “forgotten how small everything is.”
They certainly do not look like first graders anymore, but students who used to attend Annehurst Elementary School have fond memories of their time there. So fond, in fact, that they gathered at the school on May 3 to say farewell before each graduates from Westerville Central, North, or South High School. They were joined by their former teachers – Erica Layne, Julie Pierron, and Kelli Stuckey – along with retired Principal Howard Baum.
