Sometimes busy families get so caught up in hectic schedules that they don’t always find the time to say the things that are most important.  Earlier this school year, a new program began at Huber Ridge Elementary – the All Pro Dads group.  Once a month, before school starts, several fathers and other positive role models bring their children to the Huber Ridge library to focus on family topics and talk about things like why they are proud of their kids and the difference between wants and needs.  Dads leave with practical parenting tips and kids leave with memories to last a lifetime.  Dads can visit www.AllProDad.com  and sign up for daily e-mails, read blogs, and access resources such as printable tools, videos, and eBooks.  The chapter, spearheaded by Jonathan Couser, a member of the school’s PTA, has become so popular that he wants to spread the opportunity to other schools.

At 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening, May 15, dads and their children are invited to the Huber Ridge Elementary gymnasium to preview the All Pro Dad program.  Huber Ridge is located at 5757 Buenos Aires Boulevard.  Activity booths will be set up and discussions will take place about topics of fatherhood and family.  “You’ll take away some great tips and resources to help you be the best Dad you can be, and you’ll strengthen the relationship with your kids at the same time,” said Couser.  Refreshments will be available and prizes will be raffled.  The event promises to be free and fun.  Please RSVP at www.AllProDad.com/4192.

All Pro Dad is partnering with the National PTA to put chapters in more than 1,000 schools nationwide.  NFL Coach Tony Dungy is the national spokesman for the organization.  For further information, please e-mail jkcouser@sbcglobal.net
