WCSD top school district in national Green Garage Contest

Westerville City Schools was the highest-ranked school district in the nation in a contest that recognizes progressive and environmentally-committed transportation fleets. 

Under The 100 Best FleetsGreen Garage Contest, the district’s fleet was ranked No. 4 in the country behind the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma; the University of California, Irvine and the University of California, Davis. The district’s fleet department was recognized for its eco-friendly practices which include retiring diesel buses and replacing them with buses that run on cleaner-burning alternative fuels.

The 100 Best Fleets recognizes public and commercial fleet operations across the country and the value they provide on a daily basis.
