The promise that top sellers would get to go to lunch in a limousine motivated students to raise an amazing $14,142 during Mark Twain Elementary School’s annual Walk-a-Thon.  Caeden Mills, Avery Biddleston, Finn Habing, Kylie Bennett and Lexi and Andrew Wachowiak enjoyed a meal at the Sonic Drive-In with Principal Vicki Moss, Secretary Susan Kaul and Guidance Counselor Serena Casale.  Pupils walked to earn money for their school, got some exercise, and fostered friendships and school spirit.  During the Walk-a-Thon, a DJ helped add to the fun and kept them moving.  The school staff expressed appreciation to all the volunteers and donors for their efforts in making this event a rousing success.  Greg Mantenieks’ fifth grade class had the highest overall total donations of $1,166.21 and earned an ice cream sundae party.
