The promise that they would get to go out to lunch in a limo motivated Mark Twain Elementary School students to raise $12,150.93 during their annual Walk-a-Thon.  Max King, Caeden Mills, Mackenzie Krapenc, Finn Habing, and Kylie Bennett enjoyed lunch at Wendy’s with Principal Vicki Moss, Principal Intern Roshonda Elders and Guidance Counselor Serena Casale.  Pupils walked to earn money for their school, got some exercise, and fostered friendships and school spirit.  A DJ was on hand to add to the fun and help keep them moving.  The school staff expressed appreciation to all the volunteers and donors for their efforts in making this event a rousing success.  Amy McCoy’s class had the highest overall total donations of more than $1,000 and enjoyed an ice cream sundae party.
