The Fabulous Harlem Wizards Basketball Extravaganza is coming to Westerville on Monday, February 6. The game will be held at Westerville Central High School (located at 7118 Mt. Royal Avenue) starting at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30. The Wizards will be pitted against a team called The Wonders of Westerville (WOW), comprised of Westerville City Schools employees, coached by Superintendent John Kellogg. A new addition to the team, just announced, is Board of Education President Rick Vilardo.
Presale tickets cost $8 for students and $10 for adults. The prices go up at the door. Courtside Plus tickets are $30 and provide many perks. These are only available in advance with a ticket order form and are not available online.
This great family-friendly event is sponsored by the Libraries for Liberia Foundation, led by Westerville City Schools computer tech Zuulu Cooper. A silent auction of Liberian clothing and women’s head wraps will be held with proceeds from merchandise sales going to the District’s English as a Second Language Department.
