The Westerville City Schools Gifted Department is seeking nominations for students in grades 6-12, who excel in the areas of Art, Music, Theater and Dance. A nomination can come from a student, a parent, teachers or instructors in the area of talent. Once nominated an individual familiar with the student (teacher, instructor or director in the nominated area) will complete a screening form. If the student meets the qualifying score according to the guidelines from the Ohio Department of Education, they will be invited by letter to the VPA Evaluation Day on January 28 for the second part of the process. Students who are invited should be prepared to perform - in the case of Music, Dance and Theater - or present their portfolio for Art.
