Third, fourth and fifth grade students in The Mark Twain Drama Club performed in three short plays on April 17, with one show taking place for students in the morning and one that same evening for their parents and family members.  The stories included “The Half Chicken,” a tale of how the weathervane came to be; “The Brementown Musicians,” about how four older animals find new life in a new career; and an adaptation of “I Know an Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly.”

Club members have been staying after school on Monday afternoons to explore their “inner Thespian,” while learning how to speak and perform in front of a group.  Parent volunteers served as co-directors, while staff members Sam Cox and Lindsay Gietz offered technical support.
