Hanby and Emerson Tour/Open House Magnet Fair Slated for Wednesday, March 6

Hanby and Emerson elementary schools will be open to visitors on Wednesday evening, March 6.  Westerville City Schools offers a limited Magnet Program in the district that provides an alternative to the traditional delivery of content through the lenses of Math and Science, the Arts, and World Cultures.  Students enrolled in Westerville City Schools are eligible to participate in the Magnet program and a random drawing process determines their selection.

Learn more at the Magnet School Tour and Open House event on March 6.  During the following times, these schools will open for tours and staff will be available to answer questions.

  • Hanby Elementary, located at 56 South State Street, houses the Arts Magnet and the Math & Science Magnet Strand programs.  It will be open on March 6 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. 
  • Emerson Elementary, located at 44 North Vine Street, houses the World Culture Magnet Strand program.  Emerson will be open on March 6 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
