Join Westerville Education Challenge (WEC) for what promises to be a totally awesome party and dance off your winter blues.  The Rock This Town 80s Party will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at The Medallion Club in Westerville from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.  Featured band is The Reaganomics, billed as the most exciting 80s dance and party band in the Midwest.  Come celebrate the 80s and help WEC raise money to support middle and high school programs that enhance character education and social and emotional well-being.

Since 2009, Westerville Education Challenge has raised close to $100,000 for Westerville City Schools to support Challenge Day at all three Westerville high schools; grants for educators; and their newest partnership and programming with Westerville middle schools.  Please help Westerville Education Challenge “Be the Change” and celebrate our 10th anniversary of supporting kids!

Celebrate the 80s while supporting our kids’ future.  A $50 donation will cover one ticket to the Rock This Town 80s Party, two drink tickets and heavy appetizers.  Eighties attire is optional, but the sponsors hope to see your turned up collared shirts and acid washed jeans.

“I am often asked, “Why Challenge Day and Westerville Education Challenge?” and “Why Rock This Town 80s Party?”.  Challenge Day…because it lifts up the soul and the empathy of the youth it seeks to engage and also the adults involved.  Rock This Town 80s Party…because it is a very fun and energetic evening of music, dancing and socializing that also raises money for the programs and grants that Westerville Education Challenge supports in our high schools and middle schools such as Challenge Day at all three Westerville high schools, PRIDE program at Heritage MS and other character building programs in the middle schools with Tei Street (Middle School Culture Summit) and teacher grants.  It is an opportunity to have a fun evening out while supporting a great cause in our community.  So we have an open invitation to the community to join us at Rock This Town 80s party on Saturday, February 23rd at the Medallion Club featuring live music from the Reaganomics but strongly encourage everyone to get their tickets early as space is limited.  Also it is worth checking out the WEC website for more information, ways to get involved and to support Westerville Education Challenge and its sponsored programs for the middle and high school youth in Westerville.   We have come a long way in ten years of providing programming but have so much more room to grow. We continue to seek and to appreciate the support and sponsorship from the Westerville community, organizations and businesses in our endeavors.” – WEC President Kristan Robertson
