Students were not present in the Westerville City School District on Tuesday, November 7 (Election Day), but learning continued as teachers and support staff engaged in professional development opportunities. Westerville educators who have demonstrated expertise in particular areas led many of the sessions that were offered. These full days of professional development are a valuable way for staff to grow as instructors and a cost-effective way to learn from each other, identify best practices, and implement initiatives across the school district that have resulted in positive academic gains for pupils.
