Westerville Caring and Sharing’s (WC&S) holiday project is right around the corner.  The group has secured a distribution site at 975 Eastwind Drive, Suite 130.  Work nights are Monday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The site will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10.

WC&S is experiencing a large increase in the number of less fortunate families in the Westerville City School District who are applying for assistance.  Financial support is always a big need.  Food boxes need to be filled with canned goods, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned meats, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, personal hygiene, paper products and whatever else your family uses.  Dolls, remote control cars, educational toys, books, Barbie dolls, footballs, basketballs, soccer balls and games also make the holidays special for children.  Teens appreciate gift cards to fast food restaurants, Best Buy, movie theaters, etc.

WC&S presently has more than 20 Westerville children who do not have a sponsor, meaning these kids may not be remembered this holiday season.  Sponsors are asked to spend $75 for each “adopted” child and a wish list will be provided.

Checks made out to Westerville Caring and Sharing can be mailed to P.O. Box 970, Westerville, OH 43086.  Their phone number is 614/470-4320.  Learn more at www.westervillecaringandsharing.com.
