Friday, October 16, was Ohio Education Association/National Education Association (OEA/NEA) Day.  Teachers and staff members throughout the state attended professional development workshops and seminars.  Thanks to the Westerville City School District’s Employee Wellness Committee, headed by Debbie Meissner, staff in the Westerville City School District had the opportunity to participate in a number of special activities, including a 5K run/walk fitness challenge at Westerville Central High School; CPR classes held at the Early Learning Center; a Health, Safety & Wellness Fair featuring more than 40 vendors held at Westerville Central; and Active Threat Training at Genoa and Heritage middle schools.  Throughout the year, the Wellness Committee inspires Westerville employees to get fit and stay healthy.  Next up:  flu shots, in preparation for the winter season.
