The Westerville City School District’s English as a Second Language (ESL) Department will host a meeting for all ESL parents and families new to the district on Monday evening, August 11, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. It will take place in the Media Center at Westerville North High School, which is located at 950 County Line Road.
From 5:30 to 6:00 p.m., entertainment will be provided by student Terra Carr, playing the piano, along with a performance by ballet dancers from the Straub Dance Center. The main purpose of the event is to acquaint parents and families with the school district, and to provide timely information they might need at this point in the year. Topics to be covered include:
- The school calendar;
- Open House and Curriculum Nights;
- Transportation/bus behavior;
- Free and Reduced lunch applications and procedures;
- Vaccinations;
- School Absences/tardiness; and
- The school dress code.
