Welcome to the Room 111 website!! I hope you will enjoy learning about what we are doing in our classroom.

This is my 22nd year teaching at Huber Ridge.I truly believe this is a very special community and I love being part of the Huber Ridge family.  Prior to moving to Ohio in 1997, I was a first grade and pre-K teacher in LaGrange Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, for 18 years.
 
I am a proud Illini having graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign Il. I also have a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Ohio Dominican University.

My husband and I are the proud parents of three Westerville South graduates. Our oldest daughter, Kaitlin graduated from the University of Illinois. She and her husband Dan and our grandson Andrew live in Westerville. Our son Matt graduated from Ball State University and works for a non-profit working with youth in Chicago, IL where he lives. Our youngest daughter, Liz, graduated from the  University of Illinois where she studied engineering. She is a rehabilitation engineer with OSU Wexner Medical Center. We also have a very energetic 11 year old golden retriever, Kami!!!

My husband and I enjoy taking hikes in our wonderful Metro Parks with our family and visiting our National Parks. This summer we took a trip to the Acadia National Park in Maine and also The Indiana Dunes National Park. When we are not hiking I am loving being a Grandma for the first time. It's exciting watching Andrew discover new things. He will be three in December and is our pride and joy!!!!

I truly love the joy of watching young children discover the world of reading and numbers and am excited about sharing this year with your child! I look forward to our partnership in your child's learning.
