Bette Marschall Memorial Education Fund Finances Four Projects Totaling $1,082

The Bette Marschall Memorial Education Fund of The Columbus Foundation has announced that four grants, totaling $1,082, have been awarded to employees in the Westerville City School District, as follows:

  • $200 to Jenny Scherer, Hawthorne Elementary school counselor and Kerri Keefer, AU Intervention Specialist, to purchase supplies for a Coffee Cart run by AU students and peer mentors;
  • $250 to Robert Stranges, administrator at Fouse Elementary, to help with tuition costs for a course focusing on the Bridges Math Program, with the goal of enhancing counseling and guidance of students;
  • $314 to Stephanie Wheeler, speech-language pathologist at Wilder Elementary, to purchase the Story Champs Program; and
  • $318 to Jennifer Cole, 6th grade Social Studies teacher, and Debbie Pellington, gifted facilitator at Heritage Middle School, to purchase books for use in an interdisciplinary study of the modern immigrant experience.
