The Great Westerville Food Truck Fest will take place from noon to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, at the Nationwide Children’s Close to Home Surgery Center, located at 455 Executive Campus Drive in Westerville (enter off Cleveland Avenue).  Proceeds will benefit the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM).

Billed as “Principal by Day and One Man Band Whenever the Opportunity Arises,” Heritage Middle School Principal Dr. Dru Tomlin will be entertaining the crowd with vocals and guitar from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Other featured entertainers will be the Ben Bachert Band from noon – 1:00 p.m.; Foxr from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.; and the Labra Brothers, from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.  Additional activities include a climbing wall, face painting, costumed characters, games, Taekwondo demonstrations, Pepsi Sports football and soccer, and an audio Browns game broadcast. 

Share Bac A Pac, sponsored by Bradford School and Gordon Food Services, will also be collecting donations for weekend meals for students at risk in Westerville.  In addition, Cops & Kids will take place next door, from noon to 4:00 p.m., featuring cruisers, helicopters, motorcycles, tactical vehicles, K-9s, arts and crafts, a Dunk-a-Cop tank and inflatable gym. 

The mission of The Great Westerville Food Truck Fest is to offer a unique, family-friendly and fun event, featuring food trucks for the Westerville community and beyond.  Thirty-two food trucks are expected to participate, offering everything from farm fresh American favorites to international delicacies and decadent deserts.  Plenty of parking will be available in adjacent lots to the event.  For those who wish to arrive on bicycle, a bike corral will be provided courtesy of the Westerville Bicycle Club.
