Families gathered at Huber Ridge Elementary School on Wednesday evening, March 2, to experience a “Journey through the Genres” celebration of literacy.  Stations were set up to explore throughout the building with names like Mystery, Science Fiction, Realistic, Poetry, Biography, Fairy Tales, and Historical.  Free books were earned by youngsters for visiting each station and getting a stamp on their passport.  A representative from the Westerville Public Library was on hand to share information about services offered.  A Book Fair also offered a variety of items available for purchase.  In addition, locally famous guest readers were on hand to share their favorite books, including Dr. John Kellogg, Superintendent of Westerville City Schools, members of the Board of Education, and Westerville Mayor Kathy Cocuzzi.
