Students, staff and administrators gathered in the gymnasium for an assembly on Friday, November 14 to celebrate Huber Ridge Elementary School’s 50th anniversary.  Different grade levels were responsible for researching big events and trends that took place during the five decades the school has been in existence and they presented their findings through PowerPoint presentations and music.  Some of the children were dressed to reflect the decade they studied.  The community will be included in upcoming celebratory events that will take place throughout the remainder of the school year.

Huber Ridge marked its humble beginnings in 1962-63 in three houses on Cairo Road that were donated to the school district.  Today the building houses approximately 540 students who enjoy high tech learning from skilled and passionate educators.
