Tami Santa, director of Mental Health & Wellness for Westerville City Schools, is joining speakers from across the country in a national workshop, “Back in School: Addressing the Well-Being of Students in the Wake of COVID-19,” which will look at the impact of COVID-19 on students’ learning and mental health.

The free virtual workshop, hosted by the Forum for Children’s Well-Being, spans three days — May 20, 25, and 27 — and will explore the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on specific populations, including children of color, children with special health care needs and learning difficulties, and children living in poverty.

Santa’s panel session, which features voices from the education field, will be 12:15 p.m. on May 25. Learn more about the workshop or register here.

This workshop is hosted in conjunction with the Societal Experts Action Network (SEAN), an activity of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine supported by the National Science Foundation and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. SEAN is a network of leading individuals and institutions in the social, behavioral, and economic sciences that provides actionable responses to urgent policy questions.
