(UPDATED 4/13/2021)

Westerville City Schools is partnering with Health Heroes, Inc. to offer meningitis and Tdap vaccinations for any upcoming or current 7th-and 12th-grade student enrolled in the district.

Under Ohio law, all students in 7th grade are required to have up-to-date meningitis and Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis) vaccinations while those in 12th grade must have up-to-date meningitis vaccinations, with exemptions for medical, religious, and philosophical reasons.

The drive-thru vaccination clinic will be available from 4 to 6 p.m. April 22 along the front loop at Westerville South High School, 303 S. Otterbein Ave. Parents must complete a consent form and return to their child’s school by April 15. (Consent forms can be found here.)

Students with private insurance or Medicaid will be provided the vaccine with no out-of-pocket expenses or deductibles. Qualifying uninsured students will be given the vaccine, free of charge.

More information can be found on the district’s website.
