Westerville students, staff and community members are invited to join a virtual author talk with Jason Reynolds at 4 p.m. on January 24, 2021.

The event is part of the Reading for Justice: One Community One Book project, where participants throughout the school district community read and discussed  “STAMPED: Racism, Antiracism, and You” by Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi. Virtual book discussions have occurred since December.

The program, launched by Westerville South High School media specialist Brandi Young, aligns with an effort currently underway across eight central Ohio library systems called Let’s Talk About Race: One Book – One Community where participants are also encouraged to read STAMPED.

Register for Reynolds’ virtual talk here. Young is hosting a group discussion following Sunday’s author talk on Feb. 2. To sign up, email Young at youngb@westerville.k12.oh.us.
