The mission of Westerville City Schools is to prepare students to contribute to the competitive and changing world in which we live. To accomplish this, the district has scheduled four times during the 2017-2018 school year for the purpose of staff professional development, when focus will be placed on meeting the goals of the Continuous Improvement Plan. Students will be released one hour earlier than normal on these dates, which are:

- Thursday, October 19, 2017
- Thursday, January 25, 2018
- Thursday, March 15, 2018
Westerville Educator Days are Monday, August 14, 2017, and Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Classes will not be held on those days.
