New Teachers Learn About Westerville Schools at Orientation Meeting

Dr. Nancy Nestor-Baker, President of the Westerville City Schools Board of Education, addresses new teachers as district administrators look on in support. 

 

Dozens of teachers who are new to the Westerville City School District gathered in the Media Center at Westerville Central High School on August 7 and August 8 for an orientation session hosted by the Office of Human Resources.

They were greeted by Dr. Nancy Nestor-Baker, President of the Board of Education; and Dr. John Kellogg, Superintendent.  Throughout the course of the event, the group heard from a number of speakers who addressed topics including Special Education; the Resident Educator Program; AESOP, E-Mail and Voicemail; Payroll and Benefits; Employee Insurance; a History of Westerville City Schools; the Employee Assistance Program; Curriculum and Instruction; Schoology; PowerTeacher; Custodial Services; MyEdPortal – LPDC and IPDP; a review of the Westerville Education Association Master Contract; and IT Support.
