Preschoolers in Bear Creek, Texas are in for a nice surprise.  Students from Emerson and Hanby elementary schools created cards for children affected by Hurricane Harvey.  Pupils wrote heartfelt and encouraging messages to help let these children know that they are not alone. Fourth grader Ali Washburn reported that she was happy to participate in this activity because, “It will let them know that people are caring and want to help.”  Cards were gathered and sent to the directors of schools in Bear Creek.  More than 100 cards will greet the Texas preschoolers on their first day of school, which had postponed due to flood damage.
