At the Regular Board of Education meeting held on Monday evening, May 22, Superintendent John Kellogg presented Board members with outcomes from the district’s recent community engagement effort to update its Strategic Plan and shared next steps in the process.  Dr. Kellogg said there was significant alignment between 2017 feedback and the original 2013 plan, which means identified priorities remain relevant.  Several areas in which the community would like to see additional focus include facilities design, use and maintenance; building-level communication with families; early intervention for struggling students; and social-emotional support for students.

Results of the community’s work will be displayed at the Westerville Public Library from June 5-9.  The results are also available on the district’s website, www.wcsoh.org.  Anyone interested in participating in future community engagement efforts will have an opportunity to provide their contact information to the district so they can be notified when such opportunities arise.
