Westerville City School District (WCSD) officials today announced that the district has been awarded $99,500 in Local Government Efficiency Program (LGEP) grants from the Ohio Development Services Agency (ODSA).  ODSA awards grants and loans to help local communities pay for training and programs that strengthen operational efficiencies, cut costs and improve public services.

WCSD received a $49,000 grant for a project called Student Enrollment Process Improvement and another $50,500 grant for its Technology Support Process Improvement initiative.  Superintendent John Kellogg expressed his appreciation for these funds, saying, “Our District is always looking for ways to improve our efficiency and maintain accountability to taxpayers.”

LGEP, along with the Local Government Innovation Program and the Local Government Safety Capital Grand Program, assist communities with shared services and efficiency projects in all aspects of operations.  “Communities are cutting costs for safety and efficiency projects through collaboration,” said ODSA Director David Goodman.
