The Hanby Elementary School Spring Bazaar will take place on Sunday, April 17 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.  Community members are invited to attend the event, which is said to have “something for everyone.”  Hanby is located at 56 S. State Street.  Activities will include:

  • A student art show, coordinated by art teacher Elizabeth Schar;
  • The raffling of four one-day park hopper Disney tickets valued at $600;
  • The raffling of a twin-sized Hanby T-Shirt quilt valued at more than$300;
  • Carnival games hosted by Otterbein University Physical Education students;
  • Concessions for sale, including pizza, soft drinks, popcorn, candy and Rita’s Italian Ice;
  • A silent auction including dozens of themed baskets donated by parents and businesses, including gift cards; and
  • Hands-on art experiences including jewelry making, metal stamping, gardening, visual arts and science projects.

Cash, personal checks, and credit cards will be accepted.  100 percent of the proceeds from all activities will directly benefit Hanby students in paying for field trips, buying classroom supplies, library books, and a myriad of other items not covered by tax dollars.
