Combine happy little girls in princess costumes with young boys who are willing to dance, throw in a Disney score, fill the Westerville South High School auditorium with proud parents, and you have a show that can’t be beat.  Second grade Hanby Elementary students in the classrooms of Emily Kessler and Kelly Balaz have been collaborating with dancers from the Generations Performing Arts Center to learn an ambitious routine to a Beauty and the Beast medley.  This experience combined the arts with music, dance, and even math, by having the children count steps and find patterns.  In a show called “Fairytales through Movement,” held on Thursday evening, March 3, the youngsters performed to perfection.  Pupils and audience members also got to enjoy watching Generations dancers show off their hip hop, contemporary, jazz and tap skills.
