District Elementary Art Exhibit and Reception Celebrates Student Creativity

Westerville City Schools Superintendent Dr. John Kellogg addressed the standing-room-only audience at the District Elementary Art Show, where students from Emerson and Hanby elementary schools entertained.    

 

 

 

Families gathered at the Westerville Community Center on Sunday afternoon, April 14, to view elementary artwork that has been on display there for the past two weeks.  A reception was held honoring parents, students and teachers for their success in supporting and promoting the arts in the lives of children throughout the community.  Westerville City Schools Superintendent Dr. John Kellogg, who talked about the importance of art in education, welcomed the large group.  Westerville City Schools and the Arts Council of Westerville have hosted district art shows each spring for several years.  Students from Emerson and Hanby elementary schools provided outstanding entertainment.
