At Fouse Elementary School, 4th grade students have been making a connection between geography and contemporary art.  Jen Stark is a contemporary paper artist currently living in Los Angeles.  She creates meticulous artwork cutting thousands of sheets of paper into unique shapes with an X-acto knife.  The children learned all about her art and about topography through this fun and colorful project.  Some Westerville community members – Jack Brown, Connor Blair, and Dennis Blair – got involved in the project by assembling a topographical sandbox in the art room at Fouse for the youngsters to play in and learn from throughout the project.  Westerville Education Partners and Nationwide Children’s Hospital sponsored this undertaking.  Heather Freado is Fouse’s art instructor.
