Since March, fourth grade classes from Fouse, Mark Twain, and Hawthorne elementary schools have been working together to research famous Ohioans.  They have been using resources such as Google Docs to share the research; Big Blue Button to meet and discuss their presentations; and Google Slides to type, share, and show their final products.

On Monday, May 11, students from the classrooms of Heather Griffith, Susie Smucker, Tiffany West, Kathy Conley, Sarah Krempasky and Cathy Hall met in person for the first time on the campus of Otterbein University to present a Living History Museum.  Each pupil worked closely with a partner in their own classroom and was paired with two partners from another school.  They worked together to research their famous Ohioan, sharing their findings in Google Docs. Then, using the shared research, they wrote a biography about their famous Ohioan.  Finally, they took interesting facts and statements from their research to “become” their subject of study.  Each partner represented their Ohioan from a different time period or life event and shared that in a short, 30-second presentation.
