Staff members work on PowerSchool training skills

What goes on in the Westerville City School District during Central OEA/NEA Day?  Quite a bit, actually.  Even with no classes, buildings were buzzing with activity.  Dozens of professional development opportunities were offered to the staff.  In addition to specialized classes for teachers, employees could earn CPR certification, attend a free Health, Safety & Wellness Fair, participate in a 5K, partake in Active Shooter training, and engage in community service projects.  Some students even got in on the action at Blendon Middle School, where a Workshop for Winds was held, featuring  teachers from Otterbein and Ohio State Universities.  Participants ended the day feeling enlightened and uplifted.
